The Sailing Yacht is an easy to build model that is a full kit that you can build yourself

This model is a small sized ship that is easy to build and looks great. It is designed to be self supporting and can stand on its own and be built over and over again. You can glue the pieces together for a longer lasting structure and it can be easily painted for individuals. Although the model comes with wooden templates for the sails you can create your own sails out of material by copying the pieces on your own.

This model is fairly easy to build and is appropriate for younger builders from ages 10 and up. Adult assistance may be helpful.

The hardest part of the assembly is in the back of the cabin as it has small thin parts that can be bent.

Specifications

Material: MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) 3mm

MDF is a flat wood board that is normally used in construction and housing applications. Compared to other wood products it is more flexible and long lasting so it makes a good choice for modelling and applications. Resulting prints have an appealing wood textured finish with the advantage it can still be used like regular wood for sanding and painting.
