Who We Are
At Barthelson Toys, we specialize in creating high-quality wooden models designed for easy assembly and home enjoyment. All of our products are proudly manufactured in our Australian studio, where each model is carefully crafted to be self-supporting—requiring no glue or additional tools for assembly.
Founded in 2010, Barthelson Toys started by producing MDF wall art for schools in Western NSW. What began as a few bespoke designs for friends and the local community quickly evolved into a passion for kinetic artwork and 3D modeling. Today, we use advanced computer modeling to design intricate models, hand-cut from the safest and most durable MDF wood available.
We’ve also embraced 3D printing, allowing us to expand our catalogue and offer more customizable designs. From classic wooden toys to puzzles licensed from international designers, our range of unique models now offers even more variety and possibilities.
Each model is a blend of craftsmanship and innovation, making them perfect for hobbyists, collectors, and families looking for fun, creative projects. Whether you’re building wall art, toys, or kinetic sculptures, our designs are built to inspire and engage.

Here are some frequently asked questions.
How difficult are the models to build?
Each design has its own level of difficulty so we try and give as much guide as possible however children will always benefit from adult assistance.
What happens if i damage my model?
If you are finding it hard to put a model together and break pieces along the way we would be happy to assist you. We can remake pieces and kits when needed.
An additional cost may be required.
Would my model need to be glued?
We try to make our designs self supporting and easy to build on their own however this is not always possible. Sometimes glue may be required.
It would be helpful to glue models if you intend to use them over time
Is it safe to swallow pieces?
Small pieces may be a choking hazard to children and there are many products that have small parts. We use the safest MDF possible manufactured in Australia so that they are chemically safe in case of emergencies.
